2015 BMW X3

As a part of continuing their dominance in luxury car segment, BMW is updating several models. One of them is X3. Second generation of this vehicle had a huge success. It’s been sold in US last year in more than 35.000 units. The Bavarian company had decided not to experiment too much, but to go with previously successful and verified design. Recent spy shots can show us that changes are minimal. As model which was tested earlier, 2014 BMW X5, the 2015 X3 is also facelifted. Even that BMW is developing the new X4, the updated 2015 BMW X3 will be the big seller of the two.

The biggest changes for the 2015 BMW X3 is its front fascia. Small tweaks will be made to the front and rear bumpers, and they should be revised with a more rounded shape. Fitting is expected with new square-shaped exhaust system. The LED headlights are all new and these are following new trends from BMW – with growing width-wise to butt up against the grille. Well hided under heavy camouflage, side sills are seems to be restyled. Another possibility is a new front quarter panel badge. With all those changes, 2015 BMW X3 looks similar to BMW X5.

As we speak about interior, it should be updated. The latest itineration of iDrive serving should be centerpiece of it.  New menu and updated navigation system, with more voice activation controls is expected as ever-expanding ConnectedDrive technology portfolio. Other changes to the BMW X3 are minor.

2015 BMW X3 engine

As the previous model of this car, the 2015 BMW X3 should be powered  with same engine. We are talking of 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4. This four-cylinder engine can produce 240 hp and it will be installed in bas model of X3vehicle – xDrive28i. Also, as an option, there will be 3.0-liter 300-hp turbocharged I-6, also remained from the latest model. If we’re lucky, we could see a new M Performance model launched, or possibly even a high-performance X3 M. But, it’s unlikely that any changes will be included to the engines with this latest facelift.
