2015 Cadillac SRX
After taking a break of a year, Cadillac is back with its SRX crossover. However, no major changes are expected, so 2015 Cadillac SRX will get some restyling and obviously, tech updates inside the cabin. Small additions probably won’t help 2015 SRX to catch the competition, but it will be good addition to the SUV market. There are a lot of new models released recently in this class, but 2015 Cadillac could offer something different which could make this vehicle very interesting.
2015 Cadillac SRX redesign
The 2015 Cadillac SRX will be redesigned. We expect exterior details to be updated, especially bumpers, headlights and taillights. LED technology is in some talks, and it is very certain. Both front and rear end will get a new, more aggressive look. When you look closely, 2015 SRX will remind you of BMW X3.For greater safety, new, stronger materials will be used to strengthen the body. However, it won’t take benefits on the overall weight, because we expect drop in comparison to previous, 2013 year model. New materials and less pounds will make better efficiency of the 2015 Cadillac SRX.
Inside the vehicle, some of the tech features will be InteriorSpeaking and CUE infotainment system. Dashboard with a new touchscreen display and steering wheel will make cabin luxurious. On the other hand, it won’t lack space. Leg- and head-room are enough for ease movements and excellent comfort during long trips.
2015 Cadillac SRX engine
Only one engine option is planned for the 2015 Cadillac SRX. That will be 3.6-l V6 with an output of 308 hp. Drivetrain will be mated to the 6-speed auto gearbox. However, there will be option between front- and all-wheel drive methods. With all these performances, it is expected that new Cadillac will be perfect car for long distance rides. Engine provides sporty ride, and car sprints 0-60 in 7 seconds.
2015 Cadillac SRX release date and price
The new Cadillac SRX is expected to be unveiled somewhere in mid 2014. Price of the base models should be around $38.000 and up to $50.000 for higher trim levels. Comparing to its competition, it is cheaper from BMW X3 and Lincoln MKX, but more money is needed than for Audi Q5 or Acura RDX.
