2015 Chevrolet SS changes
The most of the things will remain the same. Just like original model, 2015 Chevrolet SS will have same aggressive, but also refined look, spacious, luxurious and stylish interior, able to accommodate 5 adult passengers. It will be also powered with a 6.2 liter V8 engine which delivers 415 horsepower and has a max torque of 415 lb-ft. Excellent performances are guaranteed. The 2015 Chevrolet SS makes 0-60 in less than 4.7 seconds and, which is great thing about this model, it is racetrack proven. Unlike competition, the production Chevrolet SS has the same rear-wheel-drive small block V8 configuration as its NASCAR sibling.
New things for 2015 Chevrolet SS will be some latest high-tech updates like high-speed OnStar 4G LTE connectivity. There are also rumors that 2015 year model will get some new things under the hood too. Although it is not confirmed yet, new model will probably get a manual transmission, which is probably the most wanted thing for this model since it was launched. New model will be also equipped with GM’s Magnetic Ride Control suspension. This suspension is used for Chevy’s sports cars such as Corvette and Camaro ZL1. This piece of technology is also used in some Cadillac models.
2015 Chevrolet SS release date, price and competition
According to company plans, 2015 Chevrolet SS should be available in North America this summer. Starting price for this model will be around 45.000 dollars. The potential competitors are Dodge Charger and Ford Taurus. Both of these models are much cheaper, so we can debate is this a real competition, especially because Taurus uses only 6-cylinder engine, but which is in the same power range.
