2015 Dodge Challenger
Current generation of this legendary will finally get some refreshment. Since 2007, when this model was introduced, there were no noticeable changes until now. Although new Mustang is introduced and new Camaro will be in the near future, current Challenger still brings the spirit of the old times much more than Mustang and Camaro. So, it is obvious that 2015 model will remain pretty much the same, only with some minor cosmetic changes. It will keep its clean, modern muscle lines but it will get some changes on the front and back end.
2015 Dodge Challenger interior
The main thing about 2015 Challenger is definitely interior. New model is completely revamped inside. It’s basically been plucked directly from the redesigned Charger, and boasts the same seven-inch IP display. There is also new 8.4-inch touchscreen in the center of the dash. This one includes UConnect Access system, navigation system, usual audio functions etc. Compared to Mustang and Camaro, 2015 Dodge Challenger is the only model that offers seating for five. Also, Challenger has much bigger trunk.
2015 Dodge Challenger engine
The 2015 Challenger will also get a new engine. The standard engine is 3.6 liter V6 which has 305 horsepower. The “muscle” variant is powered with a 5.7 liter HEMI V8 which makes around 375 hp and 410 lb-ft of max torque. New engine will be even bigger and stronger. It will be a 6.4 liter HEMI V8 that will make around 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of max torque. With this engine 2015 Dodge Challenger will go from 0-60 in mid-4 seconds and it will be capable to make quarter-mile in the low 12-second range. All of three models will have new 8-speed automatic transmission as standard and optional 6-speed manual for V8 models. This new automatic transmission should improve fuel economy, although gas mileage was never a major importance to Challenger buyers. The 2015 Dodge Challenger will also get new better suspension. Super Track Pak will be available on all Challenger models. It will also get a new electric power steering with three modes: Normal, Comfort, and Sport.
2015 Dodge Challenger release date and price
The production of 2015 Dodge Challenger should start somewhere in third quarter of 2014. The price will be unknown until the closer sale date. As you probably know, Challenger has eight different trim levels, so price will go in a wide range. The highest-end model will go up to 60,000 dollars.
