2015 Fisker Karma

Fisker is an automaker that was founded in 2007, in California. Already in 2008, company presented its first model called Karma on Detroit Auto Show. It is an electric vehicle, a full-size luxury 4-door sedan. The production begun in 2011, but soon after that company felt in financial difficulties, so in late 2013 the company was bankrupt and it was auctioned for sale. Fisker Automotive is sold to Chinese company called Wanxiang Group, so many of us expect that production of this model will re-start again. According to some reliable sources, it will start already in the end of 2014 of early 2015 and new model will come as 2015 Karma.

According to information that we have, 2015 Fisker Karma will come with some visual details, while on the other side it is expected that under the hood things will remain the same. Just like original model, it will be a pure hybrid. The 2015 Fisker Karma will be powered by two 120 kW (161 hp) electric motors that get energy from a 20.1 kWh lithium-ion battery. This vehicle is also equipped with petrol engine. From the moment when battery is empty, 2.0 liter EcoTech four-cylinder turbocharged engine powers a generator that sends power straight to the drive electric motors. This engine is manufactured by General Motors and it has an output of 260 horses.

The 2015 Fisker Karma sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds while the car’s top speed is around 125 mph.
