2015 Honda Crosstour
Japanese carmaker is about to launch wagon vehicle. This time, based on Honda Accord sedan, for next year we can expect 2015 Honda Crosstour. From first impressions, looks like this vehicle won’t attract big interest from buyers, because Accord is better-known and offers more for similar price. We can take these two cars as two vehicles based on the same matrix, but at the same time, these are some kind of competitors. Even it is based on the Accord, 2015 Crosstour doesn’t have much common things. Accord’s greatest advantage is its handling, which is way worse at 2015 Crosstour.
2015 Honda Crosstour redesign
Honda Crosstour 2015 is made taller, which will make easier approach and enter. Also, Crosstour’s lengthen will bring more space inside the cabin, so this wagon will have enough legroom for driver and all passengers. Inside the vehicle we will have most of the features as current model has, just updated. Honda Crosstour suffered larger design in 2013, so we suppose not many things will be changed. What we will get inside are steering wheel mounted controls, auto dimming rearview mirror, USB interface, Bluetooth connectivity and many more infotainment features.
2015 Honda Crosstour engine
Current model of the 2015 Honda Crosstour is packed with one of two engine options. Next year Crosstour should get the same engine lineup. Bas models will come with 4-cyllinder drivetrain that develops 192 hp. Other option will be 3.5-liter V6 that brings 278 hp and 252 pound feet of torque. Engines will be paired with 5-speed auto gearbox. Estimated EPA rate will be slightly better than before with 22 MPG in city ride and 31 MPG for highway run. AWD system will take 1-2 MPG from these rates. Other transmission system is being developed, and it is 6-speed automatic, with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
2015 Honda Crosstour release date and price
Since there won’t be too many changes, it is not expected for price to raise significant. We can presume that start with $28.000 for base models of the 2015 Honda Crosstour will be reasonable. Of course, models with stronger engine will cost more. Official unveiling is expected by the end of this year or early in 2015.
