2015 Kia Forte
The previous generation of this model was a bit of a disappointment, so Korean manufacturer is now trying to put things on the right place with new model, which was originally launched last year. Since this is the second year of this model, you should not expect some big changes. However, company promises many improvements for 2015 Kia Forte.
2015 Kia Forte redesign
Like last year model, 2015 Kia Forte will be offered in three body styles – a four-door sedan, two-door coupe and five-door hatchback, also called Forte5. The look will remain pretty much the same. It will keep the same German-shape form, but it is expected that new model will be slightly lighter, which will provide better overall performance, especially in terms of fuel economy. All in all, some bigger visual changes are not expected in next few years.
2015 Kia Forte features
Interior of new Kia Forte is characterized by many hi-tech features. This is the segment that distinguishes this model from other models in this class. The base LX models offers things like Cruise control, UVO with a rearview camera, and remote keyless entry with remote trunk release. There are also things like power heated mirrors, power windows, locks and mirrors then SiriusXM satellite radio, a USB input jack and Bluetooth. With higher EX trim level you get even more. The EX variant includes 17-inch alloy wheel, 10-way adjustable driver seat, heated steering wheel, heated seats, cooled glove box etc. In highest, Technology package, 2015 Forte will include things such as navigation system, xenon headlamps, LED taillights, duel-zone automatic climate control, and the temperature-adjustable rear bench.
2015 Kia Forte engines
There are two engines offered for 2015 Kia Forte. The base LX model will be powered with 1.8 liter four-cylinder engine which outputs 148 horses, while EX model will use 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine which makes 173 hp. Both variants come with either manual or automatic 6-speed transmission.
2015 Kia Forte release date, price and competition
It is expected 2015 Forte to be available late this year. Starting prices are 17.000 for sedan, 19.000 for coupe, while hatchback will start around 20.000 dollars. Fully equipped versions could go up to 28.000 dollars. Potential competitors are Ford Focus, Nissan Sentra, Toyota Corolla, VW Jetta, Honda Civic, Mazda 3 and many other.
