Japanese automaker has finally decided to enter the compact luxury crossovers market. New model which will be called NX will be definitely a hard competitor to German manufacturers Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi. New model will be offered with standard engine but also as Hybrid variant, which will be called NX 300h and it will come as 2015 year model.

Some parts of new model like body structure and wheelbase will be shared with RAV4, but most of 2015 will be unique. The look of 2015 Lexus NX 300h is just amazing. It is not too hard to conclude that this luxury crossover is designed primary for young drivers. It looks extremely aggressive and muscular. With massive front grille, attractive lights and extremely sharp lines, the look of this crossover will definitely be one of the main trumps. The 2015 Lexus NX 300h comes with 17-inch alloy wheel as standard, while 18-inch wheels are otional. Interior of this car is amazing too. It is at least good as exterior, maybe even better. It is very comfortable and stylish. Leather upholstery, soft touch materials and chrome details are just some of the characteristics. Beside standard petrol engine, company decided to make a hybrid variant of this luxury crossover too. The 2015 NX 300h will be powered by 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine which will be paired with electric motor, same as in new Toyota Camry or Lexus ES 300h. This whole system is expected to output around 200 horses, which will be less than standard petrol engine but, on the other side, it is expected to have great results when it is about fuel economy.

Although this model had its debut this April on Beijing Auto Show, it probably won’t hit the market before the end of this year. The price of 2015 Lexus NX 300h is still unknown. The competitors of this new luxury compact crossover will be German premium brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi.
