2015 Mercedes-Benz SLK

When this roadster was launched in 1996, it was of the first cars to have retractable hardtop, alongside Mitsubishi 3000 GT Spyder. This model was created as idea of German manufacturer to make a roadster which will be at the same time sporty, light and short (Sportlich, Leicht und Kurz in German) So far, we have seen three generation of this roadster. Third generation came in 2011 and it is still active, so 2015 SLK comes with no changes, at least not big ones.

2015 Mercedes-Benz SLK redesign

One interesting thing about this car is that it never had its own unique styling. It always used many details from other models. For example, the original SLK looked pretty much as bigger SL, while second one looked pretty much as SLR McLaren. We can say that current model is the most independent one. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLK is designed in same style as many other models from the company. It has familiar grille with large center star, while headlights are similar to those that can be found in SLS. It features plenty chrome details and some increased aerodynamic lines, which boosts 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLK’s overall aggressive appearance. Panorama roof with a see-through panel comes as standard, so passengers can enjoy the sky, while Magic Sky Control, which allows to darken the roofs, is optional. The hardtop of 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLK needs less than 20 seconds to retract and it doesn’t affect much on trunk space.
