Although this grand tourer came in 2011, it is already clear that this car will became a legend. This two-seater is definitely a true spiritual successor of legendary 300 SL, which was produced during 50’s and 60’s. After five years, the production of this sports car will be ended and German car maker already prepares a launch of its successor which will be called Mercedes-Benz AMG GT and which will be some kind of SLS AMG’s little brother, mostly because of much smaller 4.0 liter engine. The last model year will be 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and it will be called SLS AMG GT final edition.

The 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG comes in two available body styles – coupe and roadster. Some of the most notable details outside this model are exposed carbon fiber hood with central air outlet, carbon fiber front and rear spoilers and two types of rims – matte black with the spokes and completely painted matte black. Interior of 2015 SLS AMG is fantastic, just like it is case with exterior. Some of features that are different than in the previous year models are exclusive leather upholstery in a diamond-stitch pattern, silver seat belts, “AMG FINAL EDITION – 1 of 350” badge on the carbon fiber center console and many other.

Things under the hood are pretty much unchanged, compared to previous models. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is powered with 6.2 liter which outputs 622 horses and 468 lb-ft of max torque. This engine is coupled with AMG’s 7-speed SPEEDSHIFT DCT transmission and the power is delivered to rear wheels. The 2015 SLS AMG performances are pretty much the same as on previous year model. It sprints from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, while top speed is around 204 mph.

Well, since this 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is called “Final Edition”, it is easy to conclude that this will be last year of this fantastic two-seater. After several years of production, production of 2015 SLS AMG ends and it will be replaced by smaller model called Mercedes-Benz AMG, which will use much smaller 4.0 liter engine instead of legendary naturally-aspirated 6.2 liter V8.
