2015 Mini Cooper Coupe

This compact sports car was launched in 2011 as 2012 year model. This model is part of Mini’s strategy which has a task to attract new buyers. The main characteristic of this strategy is to offer various variants of third-generation Mini Cooper, in order to make this brand more approachable to wider range of drivers. It is based on Mini Cabriolet, but it has its own characteristic – it has slightly modified design and it is a two-seater. On the other side, like other variants, it is available in Cooper, Cooper S, and John Cooper Works (JCW) trims.

The 2015 Mini Cooper Coupe keeps the look of last year model. Unlike the standard hatchback version, this one has its own details. It is a two-seater, it has shorter and more steeply raked windshield and baseball-cap-style roof. Logically, with only two seats, 2015 Cooper Coupe has bigger boot for around 10 cubic inches. It also features a rear spoiler that rises at speeds above 50 mph. The 2015 Mini Cooper Coupe comes with minor updates, compared to last year model. Beside new color options, it features automatic wipers and automatic climate control as standard now. This two-seat coupe is also equipped with many safety features and some of them are stability control, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes and four airbags (front and side). All of them comes as standard.

Although 2015 Mini Cooper Coupe comes with only one engine, there are big differences in performances between base, S and JCW variants. In base variant, 1.6 liter engine produces 121 horsepower. In S variant, this engine comes with turbocharger, so the max output is 181 hp. For JCW trim, this engine is even more tuned up – to 208 horses. JCW sprints from 0 to 60 in less than 6.5 seconds, while top speed is around 150 mph. Like previous model, 2015 Cooper Coupe is offered both with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.
