The launch of third generation of Mini Cooper started recently. It is known that there are several variants under this title, so this process will lasts for some time. So far, we have seen three-door hardtop variant, so there are still plenty of variants to be revealed. The company also plans to introduce some brand-new variants in order to make Mini Cooper more flexible and attractive to wider range of potential customers. One of these brand-new models is five-door hardtop called Mini Cooper S, which will be a sportier 5-door variant.

When it is about look of brand-new 2015 Mini Cooper S, we can say that it looks pretty much as three-door hardtop but with one difference – it has two doors more. There are also some details which should underline the sporty character of the car like Center-mounted exhaust tips or S badges on the grille and on the back. Since this is 5-door vehicle, it seems logical that Mini engineers decided to stretch wheelbase in order to enlarge the space inside cabin. Front doors are shorter compared to three-door variants and roof is also slightly higher, in order to make more head room for the passengers.

However, it seems that results of these modifications are not good as it was expected. This model can’t accommodate four adult passengers. The back seats of 2015 Cooper S are still suitable only for small kids and maybe young teenagers. The 2015 Mini Cooper S will be equipped with many safety features. Some of them are head-up display, collision and pedestrian warning systems, a parking assistant and even a speed limit information system.
