2015 Mini Paceman
This compact crossover, which is based on Countryman, was originally launched in late 2012. When introduction of 2015 Countryman was finished, it was a turn for 2015 Paceman. New model came equally refreshed as Countryman and it was presented at the Beijing Auto Show. However, if we consider that Paceman was launched few years after Countryman, it is clear that there are no many updates to be done. All in all, changes are minor, but still noticeable.
2015 Mini Paceman redesign
When it is about 2015 Paceman’s exterior, there will be not too many changes. Main updates are some new colors like “Jungle Green” and new light-alloy wheels with reduced weight. New model also gets some updates in higher trim levels models. There are new LED fog lights and also new daytime and parking lights with LED technology too. There are also optional things like automatic air conditioning, a glass push/tilt roof, a removable tow hitch with a trailer load of up to 2,000 pounds etc. The interior of 2015 Mini Paceman remains pretty much the same. The dashboard and center console are the same but there are some optional features like leather sport steering wheel, shift paddles and cruise control. New model finally gets high-class audio system. It is a Harman Kardon hi-fi speaker system, which is a nice add to already classy and functional cabin.
2015 Mini Paceman engine
Although 2015 Paceman is offered with only one engine, there are three configurations in offer. The 1.6 liter engine in base variant delivers 122 horsepower and 118 lb-ft. The S version comes with turbocharger and has an output of 190 horses, which means 6 horses more compared to last year model. Finally, the highest John Cooper Works trim level uses the same turbocharged engine but tuned up to 218 horses. This variant of 2015 Mini Paceman sprints to 60 mpg in less than 7 seconds, while top speed is around 150 mph.
2015 Mini Paceman price and competition
The base 2015 Mini Paceman goes around 24.000 dollars, while Paceman S is around 27.500 dollars. The competitors are models like Nissan Juke or Audi Q1.
