2015 Mitsubishi i-MiEV
This all electric car was originally presented in 2009 and it is available since 2010. It belongs to class of Kei cars, which is Japanese word for small cars and it was the first electric car that was sold in over 10.000 units. The 2015 Mitsubishi i-MiEV won’t undergo some big changes when it is about design or technical details, but it will get some significant change that will make this car more attractive than ever. The 2015 Mitsubishi i-MiEV will be much cheaper – it will cost around 15.000 (compared to earlier price which was around 20.000) dollars, which means that it will be the cheapest electric car around.

This model has very eccentric design, just like all electric cars. It is small, but it has large wheelbase. Front end is characterized by very prominent sloping A-pillar which definitely has a big impact on total length of the car. The rear end is almost flat and it features taillights mounted up. The 2015 i-MiEV won’t be much different, but some there are possibilities for new colors and similar things. The interior of 2015 i-MiEV is simple but still features everything you’ll need. It has enough leg and headroom and it can accommodate 5 passengers. It features things like heated front driver and passenger seats, leather covered steering wheel and gear shifter, rear door mounted speakers, heated side view mirrors, daytime running lights etc. When it is about safety, 2015 i-MiEV is equipped with ABS, side and front Airbags, child seat anchors and more.

This electric car uses single permanent magnet synchronous motor, which has an output of 66 horses and 161 lb-ft of max torque. Although it doesn’t sound to impressive, this car has very good performances. From 0 to 60 2015 Mitsubishi i-MiEV goes in 13 seconds and it doesn’t have any problem with acceleration even when 5 passengers are in it. The max range is around 62 miles. Recharging lasts around 22 hours on 120 V supply and around 7 hours on 240 V supply. However, if you are in a big hurry, there is a quick charging option. The result is around 80 percent of the battery in only 30 minutes.
2015 Mitsubishi i-MiEV release date and price
The 2015 Mitsubishi i-MiEV is expected to be available in early 2015. As we already said, big price cut is planned so expect that new model will cost around 15.000 instead of 20.000 dollars.
