2015 Nissan Altima
Among many other vehicles for next year, Nissan is preparing 2015 Altima as a new model of generation started last year. Japanese carmaker was really busy since many new things are expected with this vehicle, completely new or refreshed. Both outlook and interior will be modified, and there are many rumors about new engine options. However, next year is somewhere between two generations, and so-called cycle-freshening is expected. What is still unknown is will 2015 Nissan Altima be offered as hybrid version. With good sales numbers, a lot hopes Nissan has in this mid-size sedan. That’s why engineers will update most of the infotainment and safety systems.
2015 Nissan Altima engine
While main question is will we see 2015 Nissan Altima as hybrid, other powertrain options became confirmed. Base models will be powered from 2.5-l 4-cylinder drivetrain. It will deliver 182 hp, but it will be much less than other engine for new Altima. The 3.5-l V6 will be able to put 270 hp in the 2015 Altima. Since not many modifications are made from previous model, estimated fuel economy will be the same. Base 2.5-l will go 27/38 mpg in city and highway drive and 270 hp rated Altima will have 22/31 mpg fuel economy numbers. Hybrid should have better mpg rates, and according to rumors, supercharged 2.5-liter taken from Pathfinder will be connected with 15kW electric motor, capable to deliver 250 hp.
2015 Nissan Altima models
New Nissan Altima will have three trim levels for each of two petrol engines. The 4-cylinder will be called 2.5 and these powered with V6 will carry 3.5 name. Trim levels will be S, SV and SL. The 2.5 S is base model with basic features. For base model of 3.5 S Altima, we will have NissanConnect Apps infotainment system installed in it. Models with SV mark are medium equipped, while 2015 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL is option with most equipment packed, including leather upholstery, heated front seats and Bose-brand audio system.

Price of the base, 2.5 S model of 2015 Altima will be around $22.000. For higher trims, price will raise. So Altima 2.5 SV will cost $25.000 and top of the class model, 2015 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL will go up to $33.000.
