2015 Porsche Boxster
Porsche Boxster was originally launched in 1996 and since then, this car comes with improvement every year. Current model came in 2012 as 2013 year model and beside new body style, this new model features many new things such as new platform, engine, transmission etc. The overall impression is that Porsche made big step ahead with this new model and that new Boxster is closer to 911 both visual and performance apects.

When you see 2015 Porsche Boxster, it is clear that this car is influenced by 911 and also by some roadsters from 70’s. The windshield is moved forward for about 4 inches. Front fenders and headlights are very similar to 911, while side panels are pretty much as in Carrera GT. Beside much better look, this car also gets many other improvements. It gets new chassis, so new model is about 1.3 inches longer. What is more important is that wheelbase is 2.4 inches longer, which brings many benefits. For example, that means less overhang. One interesting fact is that 2015 Porsche Boxster has the top that needs only 9 seconds to raise, which is probably the best result around.
2015 Porsche Boxster engine
There are two engines that power 2015 Boxster. The base model is powered by 2.7 liter flat-six engine that outputs 265 horses and 206 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, Boxsters goes from 0-60 in 5.5 seconds with manual, while with dual-clutch transmission it makes 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. Fuel economy is around 20/30 mpg City/Highway with manual gearbox, 22/32 mpg with semi-automatic. The 2015 Porsche Boxster is also available in S variant. This model is powered by 3.4 liter flat-six engine which has maximum output of 315 horses, while max torque is around 265 lb-ft. The 2015 Boxster S goes from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds with 6-speed manual and in 4.5 seconds with 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Compared to base model, fuel consumption is slightly higher – 20/28 city/highway with manual and 21/30 with dual-clutch transmission.
