2015 Subaru Legacy
After Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Ford Fusion were released for year 2014, Subaru answered with brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy. Redesigned, this-all-wheel drive vehicle is ready to complete while entering 25th year of production. The 2015 Subaru Legacy Concept was unveiled in LA car show and it will be model for years to come, according to Subaru.
2015 Subaru Legacy redesign
The 2015 Subaru Legacy concept brings redesigned and restyled design. On the back side, LED lights will remain, also with the horseshoe-shaped theme. Most experts believed that 2015 Legacy will follow its relative car – WRX concept will have four large exhaust tips on the rear splitter. But, what we saw on the unveiling at the car show, that Legacy has two vertical rectangular exhaust tips protruding from the rear bumper. It is also equipped with 21-inch wheels. Slim side mirrors and lack of door handles was sawn on premiere, but will surely be changed until production and market sales. Rear glass remains large and low for excellent visibility.
On the front end, the 2015 Subaru Legacy features hawk eye headlights. Taken from the WRX concept, the Legacy has hexagonal grille also features a chrome surround with three horizontal chrome bars. Unlike the front, lower grille and air intakes are unique. There is a strong line which runs from behind the front wheel to the top of the taillights and it gives this vehicle coupe-like look. Rear quarters are also coupe-like and roofline peaks and B-pillars give cab-forward profile.
2015 Subaru Legacy engine
There is no official announcement for the engine lineup from Subaru. So, we had to rely on many rumors about powertrains for 2015 Subaru Legacy. Next generation of the vehicle could be powered with turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-four, engine taken from the 2014 Subaru Forester, 2014 SUV of the Year. Another model which could borrow it’s engine to the new Legacy is 2011 Subaru Advanced Tourer with its hybrid powertrain. It should be a turbocharged 1.6-liter flat-four electric motor with lithium-ion battery. One thing is confirmed since Subaru said that all-wheel drive will be standard. One more engine is expected for Subaru in near future – diesel-hybrid powertrain. Will it be in the new 2015 Subaru Legacy, we can’t know.
2015 Subaru Legacy pricing
The price and affordability are the main advantages of the 2015 Subaru Legacy. 2014 year model cost $21.000. We don’t expect some big cost raising. Comparing to the competitors, 2014 Toyota Camry and 2014 Honda Accord cost more than $22.000 and AWD Ford Fusion is no less than $33.000.
