2015 Toyota 4Runner

Toyota is promoting its new made TRD pro off-road package. So far, it is confirmed that three vehicles will feature this package in 2015 year model, Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner. This package was presented at last Chicago auto show and it wasn’t while since it launched into production. All crossovers got this update because Toyota has to response to competition. New colors and revisited design are expected as a part of the package for the 2015 4Runner. Suspension suffered biggest change and they will be much different than at its predecessor. However, TRD pro off-road package will improve all Toyota’s lineup, including 2015 4Runner, and people in company expect big impact from it.

Presented in Chicago’s car show, most details are known for new pro off-road package. Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner will all have common features, but there will be some differences. Some features for all these SUV vehicles will be front grille, front springs and front skid plate, with also Bilstein shocks and standard “TOYOTA” badge. Wheels’ size will be different, but all wheels will come as black alloy. Exterior will be refreshed with new colors. One of these is so called “Inferno”, mix of red and black, and will be optional for 2015 Toyota 4Runner. Of course, this vehicle will have some features which other two won’t. Wheels exclusively made for 4Runner will be 17-inch alloy, and bumper accents on both ends will be specially modified for this SUV. The 2015 Toyota 4Runner will be higher and wheel travel will be stretched. Except Inferno color, there will be also Black and Super White available for the 2015 4Runner.

Engine options will remain the same as for predecessors. It will be 4.0-liter V6 which will deliver 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque through 5-speed auto transmission to either rear wheels or all wheels, but this will be optional. With same engine options, we expect same or little bettered performances from 2015 Toyota 4Runner. Current model sprints 0-60 mph in 7.2 seconds.

The TRD pro off-road package is presented and we know enough about new 2015 Toyota 4Runner, but release date is not set yet. It is certain that all models with new package will be unveiled together. It is also possible that these off-roaders could get slight modifications before their release.
