2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid
This year’s car show in New York has shown us new model of Toyota Camry. Many changes were visible, with new engine and few new trim levels. Also, among many changes, 2015 Camry will be available in hybrid version. Current generation of Camry hasn’t satisfied on market, so it was time to launch new generation of sedan. Changes are significant, and Japanese carmaker decided to surprise all enthusiasts with brand new hybrid mix for 2015 Toyota Camry. With it, car becomes popular again in mid-size sedan segment.
2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid engine
While regular models of Camry are getting same powertrain option as their predecessors, there is new hybrid combination available for 2015 Toyota Camry. Base engine, 2.5-l four-cylinder drivetrain, capable to deliver 178 hp, is mated to electric battery. Petrol engine was detuned to 156 hp. This mix sends power through 6-speed auto gearbox. There is still no official details about mileage, but we are sure Toyota works to put these numbers high. There is also another petrol engine available for regular model of the car, a 3.5-liter V6 rated at 268 hp and 248 pound-feet of torque, but this one won’t be joined with electric motors.
2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid redesign
The 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid won’t differ too much from petrol models of the vehicle. It will get all updates and modification that new model gets comparing to previous. Body panels are the same, and roof is slightly modified. Overall length is stretched for 2 cm and there is half of inch more space between wheels. Most significant change can be seen on grille, which is now trapezoidal.
2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid trim levels
New trim levels are prepared for 2015 Toyota Camry, also one new for Hybrid model. Sporty SE will be upgrade, and we are going to get additional, higher-end XSE trim. Other existing trims are available for 2015 Toyota Camry, and these are L, LE, XLE and SE. For the first time, Hybrid model will be available in SE trim level.
2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid release and price
Base models of 2015 Toyota Camry will be priced similar to current model. Launch is expected in last quarter of 2014. The 2015 Camry Hybrid version of the sedan will follow in few months, while 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE trim model will cost slightly more than most other versions.
