2015 Toyota Camry

Camry is Toyota’s most selling car in US. With 400.000 total units sold, it is ahead of the next best selling car, Accord by 40.000 or 10%. To keep up with market needs, the company is investing a lot into innovations. The 2015 Toyota Camry will be a model of change for this car. Rumors about the changes showed up just after release of the 2014 Camry. In those days, plug-in concept car, turbocharged four cylinder engine or a CVT transmission sounded silly. About a month ago, Bill Fay, Toyota’s group Vice President, confirmed that those changes are possible for the new 2015 Camry. He couldn’t give insurance about that, because we are almost two years away of it. One thing is official – 2015 Toyota Camry will be redesigned and restyled to keep the No1 in that year too. So, for near finished styling, we need to wait until it showing, probably at the one of the car shows next fall.

2015 Toyota Camry – Engine and mpg

As we mentioned, big changes could be expected in Camry’s drivetrain. Camry’s usual V6 engine will be replaced. The 2015 Toyota Camry will be packed with 2.0 liter turbo Valvematic as its base four cylinder engine. Sadly, if you want to drive V6 again, it would cost more than $5.000 to buy competitor car with that type of engine. New engine should also add 5-10% to the new Camry’s MPG rating.

Very positive feedback and reviews of Corolla’s CVT transmission eased decision to put same system into new 2015 Camry. Main advantage of the new transmission should be MPG gain, and in Corolla it is 10%. All its competitors have surpassed Camry in MPG rating. Anyway, new transmission won’t  spoil the comfort and driving impression.

2015 Toyota Camry – Redesign

Camry has its own styling which people like. However, if it wants to stay at No1, it should improve, to make evolution of the car and to be contemporary. As for performance, we expect changes for the design of the 2015 Toyota Camry. Anyway, we still don’t know much about it and no official statement has been made, but we can suggest that Toyota will modify both front and rear end slowly, so the buyers can get used to it step by step.
