2015 Volvo XC70
The 2015 Volvo XC70 is a mix of comfortable crossover, stylish sedan and sporty performance vehicle. Based on the S80sedan from same carmaker, it is safe and spacious vehicle, built to satisfy all needs. Safety features are highlight of the 2015 Volvo XC70, as we always expect from Swedish company. Last big refresh came in 2014, so for this year we expect small changes. Among others, new Volvo XC70 will get more efficient engine called Drive-E.

Exterior design of the 2015 Volvo XC70 will be mixture of classic look and brand new, modern styling. However, this won’t be so radical, and if Volvo is known of something it is their unique and stylish design and architecture. Black lower body is made of plastic and will have 8.3 inches of ground clearance. New LED headlights and new 17-inch alloy wheels dominate on exterior look. Cabin of 2015 XC70 will have comfortable seats. Then, new dashboard will be introduced. It will have analog speedometer and TFT screen for reading most information from it. Some trim levels will feature navigation from 7-inch touch-screen display as a part of Volvo’s Sensus infotainment system.

Total of three drivetrain options will be offered for buyers of 2015 XC70. First powertrain will be new turbocharged “Drive-E” engine. It is 2.0-liter four-cylinder drivetrains with output of 240 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Power will be sent to front wheels through eight-speed automatic transmission. This will be good for 24/31 mpg for city and highway drive. These buyers who are not satisfied with this, can pick 3.2-l V6.
All-wheel drive system with 240 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque are better than on the previous model, but mileage is lower with 18/25 for city or highway. Last engine option for 2015 Volvo XC70 will be turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. Most horses will be under the hood of vehicles with this powertrain, total 300 combined with 325 lb-ft of torque. With Polestar engine upgrade, outputs for this one could raise to 325 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque.
