2016 Acura RDX
Acura RDX is the first compact crossover made by this luxury division of Honda. Original model came in 2006 and it took the entry-level model place in company’s crossover line-up, after MDX grew up in size. Second generation of this luxury crossover came in 2012 and so far, this car makes excellent sales results. Acura usually makes some mid-cycle modifications in three years, so it is pretty much for sure that next year we will see a refreshed version, which will come as 2016 Acura RDX. Updated model will come with many of changes and we expect to see more attractive look, improved interior and maybe even a new engine.
2016 Acura RDX changes
The look of this crossover definitely isn’t the most attractive in class. People mostly buy this car because of some other characteristics such as performances, quality, reliability etc. However, this state will be changed, because 2016 Acura RDX will come with many changes which will make its look much more attractive. Most of the changes will be on the front end, so expect to see things like new grille, new LED daytime running lights, bumpers etc. When it is about interior, 2016 Acura RDX probably won’t be much different visually, but expect some new colors, materials and also an updated an upgraded hi-tech features.
2016 Acura RDX engine
At this point, it is still unknown will 2016 Acura RDX come with new engine or not. Current model uses 3.5 liter V6 with output of 273 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque. However, there are many rumors that it will get Honda’s new-generation “Earth Dreams” engine, probably same that is used for new Accord. In that case, current 6-speed transmission will be probably replaced too. If 2016 RDX comes with new engine, you should expect much better fuel economy and also some improvement is terms of power.
2016 Acura RDX release date and price
We expect to see 2016 RDX in late 2015, but there is also possibility that launch will be delayed for early 2016. In any case, we don’t expect some big changes in price, so it will probably go in range between 35.000 and 42.000 dollars, depending on level of equipment.
