2016 Cadillac SRX
Cadillac prepares many novelties for next year and one of them in new, redesigned SRX. The development of this redesigned model was taken with special care, because this crossover is definitely one of the company’s most important models. It is a mid-size luxury crossover which was originally launched in 2004. So far, there have been two generations, but that state will be changed when third –generation model come next year as 2016 Cadillac SRX. Since 2010, this crossover is company’s best-selling vehicle in United States.

New model is still in testing phase, so there are not too many details about it. This means that we will rely mostly on rumors and speculation. It is expected that 2016 Cadillac SRX will get some size increase, especially if we consider that idea of new three-row SUV has been put on hold for now. Instead of that, it is expected that new 2016 SRX will be offered with third row of seats, but only as optional. It is expected that new model will be based on new Omega platform, which will bring many new possibilities for this model. When it is about visual appearance, new model is still heavily camouflaged, so we can only presume that Cadillac SRX 2016 will be characterized by much aggressive and attractive look. Expect to see redesigned crossover to follow company’s new design language, especially on the front end.
2016 Cadillac SRX engines
Information about engines for 2016 Cadillac SRX is still not available. However, many changes in this segment are expected. Current model is available with 3.6 liter V6 engine, which outputs 308 horsepower and 265 lb-ft. Many predict that this unit will be replaced, but there is also possibility that company will keep this engine as option. The 2016 SRX will get a whole new line-up of GM’s advanced EcoTec engines, which are characterized both by better performances and economy.
2016 Cadillac SRX release date and price
It is expected that 2016 Cadillac SRX will come in late 2015. The exact price is still unknown, but it is expected that base model will go around 40.000 dollars. Production of this luxury crossover will be moved to GM’s facility in plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
