The 2016 Honda Fit, is going to pick up where its predecessors left off. The 2015 model, did not come with sporty looks, but made up for this with its excellent safety and comfort features. This was the best car in the market for the urban family. The 2016 Fit is set to top this, it is going to boost of improved and stronger chassis, this will be the basis for most of its safety features. It is also said that, it will be more spacious than its predecessor and will also feature state of the art electronics and computerized safety controls.
2016 Honda Fit redesign
The chassis of the 2016 Honda Fit will be redesigned and reinforced to provide a more compact and stronger base. As a result, the 2016 model will be about 1.6 inches shorter than its predecessors, but will have an increased wheel base by about 1.2 inches. These changes will translate into a more spacious cabin and legroom. In fact, it is believed that the legroom will increase by 4.8 inches. The body of the 2016 Fit will keep the general look of the 2015 model, but will have a few refined lines to give it a more sporty look. It will have redesigned rear lamps configuration, new grill design as well as new front lights configuration.

The interior of the 2016 Honda Fit, will continue with the classic styling of its predecessor. The seats will be well spaced for a more comfortable drive. The rear seats will be able to fold in four different ways, thus increasing the storage capacity for cargo. The dash board will be ergonomically designed to focus on functionality, rather than aesthetic value. It will have a centrally placed 7 inch LCD touch screen, that will act as a controller for the Navigation, climate and audio systems. It will also have digital displays for both the speedometer and transmission.

The 2016 Honda Fit will have the 1.5 liter iVTEC drive train. This will be a four cylinder engine that will produce, 130 horse power and 114 pounds per foot of torque. This engine will come with two transmission choices. The first one will be a six speed manual gear box, this will provide a fuel efficiency of 29 miles per gallon, city and 37 miles per gallon, highway. The second, will be a six speed automatic constant velocity transmission that will have a fuel efficiency of 33 miles per gallon, city and 41 miles per gallon, highway.
2016 Honda Fit release date and price
The price of the 2016 Honda Fit has not been determined yet, but it is expected to cost just a little more than its predecessor. This is attributed to its more enhanced features. The release date has been rumored to be in mid 2015.
