2016 Honda HR-V
Honda finally presented the production version of its new subcompact crossover on the LA Auto Show. It is called 2016 HR-V and it largely influenced by Urban SUV concept that was shown few years ago. Although it is a crossover, it is designed primary for urban drive – it has small dimensions, economic engine, versatile interior full of hi-tech features etc. It will come this spring and it will compete with models such as Mazda CX-3, the Chevy Trax, Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X.
2016 Honda HR-V design
This crossover will be based on the company’s very popular model Fit. It will share the same platform and it will also share many parts, both esthetic and mechanical. When it is about 2016 Honda HR-V exterior look, it will be pretty much based on Urban SUV concept, but it will also borrow many details from its bigger brother CR-V. It will feature a coupe-like appearance with upswept side window treatment and hidden rear door handles, and also plenty of attractive details such as aluminum wheels or power sunroof.
Interior of 2016 Honda HR-V combines sporty and elegant elements and it is pretty much in the style of new Fit. High-quality and soft-touch materials and long list of standard features are one of the main characteristics of new crossover. It is also equipped with “Magic seat” on the rear, just like new Fit, which gives you many options for passengers and luggage.
2016 Honda HR-V engine
The 2016 Honda HR-V will be powered with 1.8 liter four-cylinder engine, which is rated at 138 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of max torque. This engine perfectly suits to car’s main purpose, which is city drive. It has enough power to make decent accelerations and, which is more important, it has great results when it is about fuel economy. The transmission will be the same 6-speed manual or CVT, which is used for new Fit and it will be available both in FWD and AWD configurations.

It is expected that this versatile crossover will be available already this spring. The exact price of 2016 Honda HR-V is still unknown but according to some predictions, base model will cost around 16.000 dollars.
