2016 Hyundai i20
Hyundai i20 was launched in 2008, and first-generation model is still under production. Soon after launch, this car became very popular and nowadays it is one of the best-selling models in the class of supermini cars. This car, which sits between i10 and i30, was updated in 2012, but company already prepares a presentation of the second-generation model. Just like it was case with original model, new one will be presented in Paris Motor Show, which starts this Sunday. However, this new model definitely won’t enter the serial production before 2015 and it is expected that it will come as 2016 Hyundai i20.
2016 Hyundai i20 redesign
Although new i20 for the Indian market was already presented, European and U.S. market model will have many differences. The 2016 Hyundai i20 was completely designed and developed in Europe, in Hyundai Motor’s Design Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany and it is expected that it will produced in Turkey. It will get new platform and new look, which will surely follow the new Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design language, which is present on all new models from this South Korean manufacturer. The 2016 i20 will also get completely new interior, which will beside new look also get plenty of new advanced-technology features. Some of new features will be front and rear parking sensors, heated steering wheel, static bending headlamps and automatic defog system. There are also advanced systems like lane departure warning system, which can usually be found in much expensive cars.
2016 Hyundai i20 engines
Details about 2016 Hyundai i20 are still kept as secret. For now, there are no information will current units will stay or some new will be introduced. There are plenty of engines offered for current model but some of them are available only for specific markets. There are four petrol and three diesel engines, but it is expected that some of them will be replaced with some new units. When it is about transmission, things are also unknown. Current model is available with 5-speed and 6-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission. Only thing that is for sure is that this automatic transmission is definitely out of date, so it is expected 2016 i20 to get new automatic gearbox.
2016 Hyundai i20 release date
Presentation of 2016 Hyundai i20 is reserved for Paris Motor Show and while you’re reading this text, it might already begun. On the other side, serial production is planned for next year.
