Hyundai Tucson, also known as ix35, is a five-door compact SUV, which was originally launched in 2004. Current model was released in 2009 and although it still makes great sales results, company plans to introduce all-new, third generation of this SUV. New model is still in developing phase, but it is expected to come next year as 2016 Hyundai Tucson. This new SUV will come with many changes. Beside some technical improvements, expect to see completely new, much more attractive appearance, especially when it is about outside look.

Although current model’s look is not considered as some kind of weak spot of the car, company plans to redesign it completely. The 2016 Hyundai Tucson will feature completely new exterior look, which will be much more attractive. According to Hyundai Motor America CEO Dave Zuchowski, new Tucson will have „really elegant, taut, athletic, aggressive styling”. New model will also look slightly bigger than it actually is, thanks to new design, although dimensions will be pretty much the same. Interior of new Hyundai Tucson be redesigned too. It will get new mort sophisticated look and also a plenty of entertainment features. Some of advanced safety systems that are usually reserved for much expensive cars will be also installed in new Tucson.
2016 Hyundai Tucson engine
When it is about engines, we don’t expect some big changes for 2016 Hyundai Tucson. Current petrol units will probably stay. Those are 2.0 liter 4-cylinder with 143 horses and 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine with 176 horses. However, some modifications are expected, so don’t be surprised if you see 2016 Tucson with few horses more and slightly better fuel economy. Transmission is also expected to remain the same. Current model is available with either 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual gearbox. Overseas, 2016 Tucson will be also offered in two diesel variants (1.7 and 2.0 liter).
2016 Hyundai Tucson release date and competition
The 2016 Hyundai Tucson is expected to come in late 2015 alongside with new Elantra, which will also come as new-generation model. Some of the toughest rivals will be models like Ford Escape, Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.
