2016 Infiniti QX70

This mid-size luxury crossover, manufactured by Nissan’s luxury division Infiniti, was originally launched in 2002 as a replacement for previous QX4 model. It was released at the same time as Porsche Cayenne and Volvo XC90, which are considered as main competitors. Current model is still in its second generation, which came in 2008, but that state is going to be changed. Although this model was refreshed in 2011, it is about time to finally see next-generation model. Redesigned model is expected to come as 2016 Infiniti QX70 and it will come with many improvements, both visual and technical.

The 2016 Infiniti QX70 will come completely redesigned. Although it will keep its recognizable style, it will come in completely new attire. It will keep its aggressive appearance, which guarantees excellent performances, but it will be also full of new details, which will make it modern and competitive. The test model is completely covered with camouflage, so it is impossible to give some more precise details about 2016 QX70’s look. The fact that is known is that new model will be significantly lighter, because of a use of lightweight materials such as steel, aluminum etc. It is expected that new 2016 Infinity QX70 will get completely redesigned cabin too. Although we don’t know details, we expect to see improvements in its look, level of comfort and also to see plenty of new or upgraded features.

Although there are many rumors that redesigned model will get some new engine, we still wait for official confirmation. The base 3.7 liter was introduced recently, so it is for sure that it will remain as basic offer. This V6 outputs 325 horses and 267 lb-ft of max torque, which guarantees great performances. With engine, 2016 Infiniti QX70 sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds, while top speed is 155 mph. On the other side, destiny of big 5.0 liter V8 is still unknown. This engine, which came in 2009, has an output 390 horses and 369 lb ft of max torque. The 7-speed automatic transmission is expected to remain.

It is pretty much for sure that new model will come in the second half of next year, but more precise date is still unknown. Current model starts around 45.000 dollars and it is expected that 2016 Infiniti QX70’s price will be similar.
