2016 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
This mid-size luxury crossover was originally launched in 1997 and there are three generations of this vehicle for now. Although current generation is present only for three years, company plans to introduce a refreshed version, which should keep this SUV fresh until four-generation model come. A mid-cycle version will come with several changes and most of them will be visual. New model will get new look and also some new features inside the cabin, while mechanical part will remain pretty much unchanged.
2016 Mercedes-Benz M-Class redesign
Most of changes that will be found in 2016 Mercedes-Benz M-Class will be visual and most of them will be outside the vehicle. New model will get completely revisited front fascia, which will follow the design language of new C-Class, but also with some details taken from new S-Class. Expect to see new headlights, bumper and also revisited air intakes. Rear end of new Mercedes-Benz M-Class will also undergo some modifications and probably the most notable are brushed aluminum dual exhaust tips, similar to those found in new C-Class. Interior will be also changed. 2016 Mercedes-Benz M-Class will get new dashboard, with the latest variation of the COMAND system. Beside this, 2016 M-Class will also get some new hi-tech entertaining system and also improved safety systems.
2016 Mercedes-Benz M-Class engine
It is expected that 2016 Mercedes-Benz M-Class will keep the current line-up of engines. Current model is offered in many options. There are three petrol and two diesel engines. Petrol units are 3.5 liter V6 that makes around 300 horses, then 4.6 Bi-turbo V8 with over 400 horses and finally 5.5 liter V8 that outputs around 550 horses and which is reserved for AMG variant. Diesel units are 2.1 liter four-cylinder that outputs 200 horses and 3.0 V6 that is able to produce over 250 horses. Transmission is expected to remain the same, so 2016 M-Class will be offered with either 7-speed automatic or CVT transmission.
2016 Mercedes-Benz M-Class release date
Refreshed 2016 Mercedes-Benz M-Class will be launched next year. It is expected that it will be followed by the launch of an all-new coupe SUV which will be based on M-Class and which will be a main competitor of BMW X6.
