2016 Nissan Patrol
Nissan Patrol is a SUV, which was originally released in 1951 and during this long period, we have seen seven generations of it. Current model came in 2010 and it was refreshed recently. Refreshed model came with several modifications such as new taillights, built-in LED headlights, new steering wheel and many other things. The 2016 Nissan Patrol won’t feature so big changes. It will probably come with some minor tweaks such as new color options and maybe some new standard features.

As we said, 2015 year model received a major facelift and 2016 Patrol will feature pretty much the same characteristics. It will feature the same outside look which is, compared to pre-refreshed version, more aggressive and more attractive. It also features new taillights, grille and built in LED headlights. Only possible novelties that could come with 2016 Nissan Patrol are some new color options and new wheels. When it is about interior, a facelift brought new steering wheel and some visual tweaks, while overall styling remains the same. Just like for the current model, there will be XE, SE, and LE trims, but it is expected that all of this variants will get some new standard features. The 2016 Nissan Patrol will be equipped with plenty of advanced features that will provide much easier drive and also higher level of safety. There are features like electronic-locking rear differential, hill start and hill descent control, automatic braking and stability control, “Hydraulic Body Motion Control System”, lane-departure warning etc.
2016 Nissan Patrol engine
The Nissan Patrol will continue to use the same 5.6 liter V8. This engine provides great performances and it has maximum output of 400 horses and 410 lb-ft of max torque. It will be offered both with automatic and manual transmissions. It features four drive modes: sand, on-road, rock and snow, which can be switched just with the flick of the button.
2016 Nissan Patrol release date, price and competition
It is still early to speculate about some more precise date of launch, but it is expected that 2016 Nissan Patrol will come in the late 2015. Price is expected to remain the same, which means around 45.000 dollars for base model. When it is about competition, there is an old rivals Toyota Land Cruiser, but there are also some other models that could be competitive
