2016 Volvo XC90
It was about time the some changes when it is about XC90. This model was presented over 12 year ago in 2002 Detroit Auto Show and since then, there was only one major refreshment of this mid-size luxury SUV. The second generation of will finally be launched next year as 2016 XC90. This new premium sport utility vehicle will come in well known Swedish unique design with safety as key part. In new model, almost everything will be changed – new platform, new engines, new look, much better driving experience etc.
2016 Volvo XC90 redesign
The 2016 Volvo XC90 will come with new chassis. It is called SPA, which means Sport Products Architecture, and it will have debut with this SUV while later will be used in various Volvo’s mid-size and full-size models. It is hard to said something about exterior look because testing model is still under heavy camouflage but, on the other side, company decided to reveal car’s interior already. According to images that we have seen, the cabin of 2016 XC90 will look just amazing. Just like all of the models from Swedish automaker, it will look extremely elegant and, thanks to new chassis, there will be three rows of seats. Stylish interior will consisted of many new features. Volvo XC90 2016 will get totally new control panel and the first we noticed is center console, which features large touchscreen that looks fantastic. All in all, this will be one big step forward, compared to an outgoing model.
2016 Volvo XC90 engines
During all these years, many engines were used for this SUV. However, the current model is available in just one, the 3.2 liter I6 with 238 hp. The 2016 XC90 will get new line up of engines. There is still no detail information, but you should expect wide range of engines, which will include some hybrid variants too. It will probably be some I6 engine combined with some electromotor, which will power rear wheels.

It is expected that 2016 Volvo XC90 will arrive next spring at it looks that it will cost a little more than an outgoing model, which starts around 40.000 dollars.
