2016 VW Tiguan
This compact crossover that was launched in 2007 is nowadays one of the most popular models in its class and it is definitely one of the most important products for the company. This crossover is offered worldwide, in almost all markets in the world and everywhere it marks excellent results. However, German car maker plans to introduce new, redesigned model in order to make things going in the same way. The second-generation model is expected to come late next year as 2016 VW Tiguan and it will come with plenty of improvements, both mechanical and visual.

The 2016 VW Tiguan will come with many changes compared to current model. It will be placed on VW’s new MQB platform and it will be larger than current model. There will be also an option of longer wheelbase. New platform will provide more space inside the 2016 Tiguan, but those changes in dimensions will not be the only ones. New model will also come with revisited look but you should not expect some radical changes. Interior will also suffer some modifications. Beside more space, the cabin of 2016 Tiguan will be also more comfortable, while the list of features is expected to be significantly enlarged.
2016 VW Tiguan engine
Like every VW model, 2016 Tiguan will also have wide range of engines in offer. Although it is not confirmed yet, it is expected that second-generation model will keep current engines for now, but that it will be expanded in near future. Current line-up of engines is consisted of four petrol and three diesel options. Petrol units are 1.4 liter 4-cylinder engine with 120 or 150 horses and 2.0 liter 4-cylinder TSI engine that outputs around 170 or around 200 hp. On the other side, diesel engine is 2.0 liter TDI is offered in variants with 110, 140 or 170 horses. The 2016 VW Tiguan will be offered with three transmissions – 6-speed manual or automatic and 7-speed DSG dual-clutch.
2016 VW Tiguan release date and price
It is expected that 2016 VW Tiguan will come in late 2015 or early 2016. Big news are that the price will be much lower, according to speculations. Current base model goes around 24.000 dollars, while the second-generation model is expected to be significantly cheaper.
