2017 Ford Raptor
New Ford F150 is very attractive truck, and one of the most popular vehicles in this year. Many vehicles are based and will be based on it, not only from same segment. Its radical changes brought a lot of success. However, this company is known for making future plans. And that’s why they are already developing 2017 Ford Raptor. This vehicle is luxury version of the F150 and in 2017 it could be changed a lot. Weight drop, design changes, boosted performance, all should be included for 2017 Raptor.
2017 Ford Raptor engine
Yes, 2017 Ford Raptor will be based on today’s F150. But, this is high rated performer, and engine must be pretty upgraded from all that F150 can offer. So far, options are going form 3.5-l and 3.7-l V6 powertrains, to much stronger 5.0-l V8 with output of 365 hp. However, all this is not good for Raptor. According to some rumors, 6.2-l, 411 hp and 434 pound-feet, rated V8 should be placed under its hood in 2017. It would offer better performance, with larger towing capability.
Also, there will be some smaller models for these buyers which are not so crazy about power, and who doesn’t want to pay so much for 2017 Raptor. These models could go with Ford’s latest 3.5-l V6. Power will be delivered through a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
2017 Ford Raptor redesign
As the F150, 2017 Ford Raptor will go for a diet. That means a lot of lightweight materials would be used for body parts, which could save around 500 pounds. If designers manage to pull that off, that would be incredible result. However, that strings other parts to improve.
As we heard, look will be substantially changed. Overall appearance should be modified, but Raptor is going to hold its familiar look. Some new lines provide better aerodynamic. Also, new suspensions, shocks and TRD package are expected. Frame, grille and bumpers will be made of high-strength steel.
